Today I’m upgrading my rainwater harvesting wildlife waterer from 300 gallons to 900 gallons. In the video I’ll show the addition of 2 additional IBC storage totes, plumbing the tanks and water trough, and the making of a DIY water trough with a concrete mixing tub and a float valve. Then I will give you an overview of how the system harvests rainwater from a roof structure, directs that water into the IBC storage tanks located down the hill, and supplies water to the trough for the benefit of the animals. And then I’ll end the video with some clips of all the animals coming in for a drink!

And for those who would like more info on the previous versions of this project, see the links below. Originally this project was started using a billboard tarp and rain barrels. But over the years I’ve upgraded the collection surface to a roof structure and the storage from rain barrels to IBC totes….. And who knows…. I may just have more upgrades in store in the future 😉
