In this video, we are demonstrating one of LATNEX’s most popular EMF meter: AF-3500. The AF-3500 is easy to use, has a large display so it is easy to read as well. In the video, we demonstrate how to measure 3 types of EMF that is emitted by a microwave, in an OFF and ON mode. The 3 types of EMF radiation from a microwave are: Low Frequency electric field that’s generated from the electrical cable in the back, Low Frequency magnetic field from the front panel of the microwave and RF high frequency fields.

When the microwave is turned off, both Low Frequency electric and magnetic fields still exists and emits radiation, but when the microwave is turned on, when we are heating up our food, RF high frequency fields will occur.

As you can can see in the video, when getting further away from the microwave, the Low Frequency fields will go down drastically, however RF fields will require further distance away from the microwave in order for it to be safe. In our opinion, it’s best to stand at least 7 meters or 22 feet away from the microwave when it is on.
