ABOUT THIS VIDEO:

The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame was initiated in 1998 to celebrate the contributions of Texans to the country music profession. The project highlights those individuals, living or dead, who are recognized nationally as outstand in their field. The building is 13,000 sq ft for exhibits, a gift shop, and a large banquet room. It can accommodate groups of 300 for lecture-type seating or more than 200 for catered dinners.

Carthage TX & City Square: Carthage became the county seat in 1884 when Johnathan Anderson donated 100 acres for the townsite. At the town square & a block off from the square, you will find several quaint little shops.

Margie Neal Statue: The life-size bronze statue is across from the square. Neal became active in the crusade for woman’s suffrage, and, when that fight was won, she became the first female registered voter in Panola County. She then won an election to the Texas State Senate in 1926, making her the first woman elected to the branch of State Government.

Panola College: The college in Carthage TX is the home of a beautiful fountain called “The Spirit of Panola”. The men’s teams are called Ponies and the women’s Fillies.

Foot Prints in the Sand Monument: This is such a serene, beautiful, peaceful place to stop. The monument is so large and very detailed. There is large seating area so you can stop and breathe in the serenity. People have purchased remembrance plaques and benches. There is no charge to visit but they do have a donations box if you choose to donate. We highly recommend this place if your in the area.

RV Modification UN-Do: Ed was able to finish up removing all of the modifications we made to our RV bumper that allowed us for years to carry our kayaks, generator, bikes and chairs. Since we sold our kayaks, and our generator quit, we decided to remove all the modifications and slide our bumper in once again. Giving us a stable and secure bumper to continue to tow our car behind the RV.

Kolach: A kolach is a type of pastry that hold a portion of fruit OR meat surrounded by puffy dough. We got our tasty treat at Donut Deluxe in Carthage TX

ABOUT US:
In 2009 my husband and I realized we were completely exhausted with corporate America. Something had to change. So we sold our home, most of our belongings and purchased a RV 5th wheel. Since the beginning of this crazy adventure, we have visited over 22 states either working at various campgrounds, working remotely, gate guarding or just a great vacation.

We’re traveling full time, living on our own terms and showing you the up-close-and-personal details of us figuring it out along the way. The good, the bad, the ugly – and most importantly, the real and real funny.

We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.” Just how we’ve done it. It’s not our goal in these videos to be politically correct or make every viewer happy. We want to share honestly what we are experiencing on this adventure and how we are evolving as a couple.
