HAVA Wireless HD allows you to watch your
TV content just about anywhere. HAVA connects wirelessly, being detected, in
the case of homes with a Windows XP Media Center Edition PC, as a wireless
TV tuner. HAVA streams video content from cable, satellite, DVD, TiVo,
camcorder or any other video source in MPEG-2 to multiple PCs in one
wireless network or remotely in MPEG-4 to any PC connected to the internet.
Since HAVA enables the PC to act as a digital video recorder, the content
can be time-shifted or burned onto a DVD. HAVA comes HD ready.

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center PC compatibility
- Support for MCE users who do not have a tuner, delivering video streams that
allow the MCE PC to treat HAVA as a wireless tuner; thereby adding full
multimedia capabilities to your MCE PC.
- DVD Quality Video: HAVA uses a high-performance video compression chipset and
utilizes the standard MPEG-2 (and optionally MPEG-4) format to provide the best
possible video quality and DVD compatibility over the home wireless network.
Furthermore, the chip is capable of simultaneously encoding the video source at
low data rates using the MPEG-4 format for remote viewing over a broadband
internet connection by a single client.
- Smooth Viewing Experience: HAVA leverages proprietary wireless optimizations
utilizing its VBooster technology to deliver an optimal viewing experience.
- Users can watch high quality video (up to 30Mbps full D1 MPEG-2) over their
existing 802.11a/g wireless network on any number of Wi-Fi computers on the
network (“multicast”)
- Users can continue to use their wireless network for all the services they are
used to (web browsing, e-mail, chats, printing, file transfer, etc.), while
watching high quality video wirelessly. VBooster, while introducing powerful new
functionality, leaves your existing 802.11a/g network intact. It is fully
compatible with the 802.11 standard.
- Automatic adjustment of encoder parameters based on dynamic calculation of the
available wireless bandwidth, to ensure smooth delivery of the video stream to
all the clients on the network.
Ease of Use and Setup:
The automatic device discovery and setup wizard ensures a
very positive user experience. The entire setup process (both for wireless home
viewing and remote viewing over the internet) is completed over the wireless
network, from any client PC by running the setup wizard. There is no need to
connect HAVA with a wired Ethernet hookup, an impractical scenario in most
homes.

Setup for configuring HAVA wirelessly
The Setup Wizard wirelessly locates the HAVA device and automatically
connects to it for configuration b. The Setup Wizard provides a UI for the user
to enter the wireless network settings (SSID and encryption key) so that HAVA
can join the home wireless network or act as an Access Point
PVR Application
- HAVA is compatible and can be used out of the box with Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition or any other MCE compatible PVR application
- Monsoon HAVA PC Client is provided for non-MCE configurations.

Special Features
All special features listed below are powered by Monsoon's patent-pending
VBooster technology. This technology drastically improves the performance of the
wireless link between the HAVA device and PC clients by doubling the bandwidth
that is normally available in the typical infrastructure home network
configuration. No 802.11 standards are violated or compromised, so the user
doesn't have to change network settings on their PC.
