This is a new IR remote control from Fortec Star.  It is a Universal Remote that can replace most remotes manufactured by Fortec Star in the past*.  So if you lose you remote or want a replacement, this is the remote for you. 

This remote control is easy to program, use, and operate.  Before you use your new remote control, it must be programmed to operate with your Fortec Star receiver.  

To program it:

1. Check your receiver's model number.
2. Select the code number that matches your receiver's model number.
3. Press (power), then code number (1~8) together in 1-2 seconds until the red LED in the power button will flash 2 times.
4. You remote is now ready to use.
5. The remote will require 2xAAA batteries (not included).
