Metal housing for indoor installation. The 22Khz generator allows alternate satellite selection on certain types of systems with an integrated LNB/MultiSwitch.  It is also used to switch the band on UNIVERSAL LNBFs (in case your old receiver does not have a built in 22 kHz tone generator).
